As a Regional Delegate from Airdrie, Alberta I arrived in Toronto at 4:00pm
At 6:30 pm we entered into the hotel ballroom at the Airport Holiday Inn. I didn’t know what to expect I was just super pumped about everything! The girls were told to dress fancy at on of the Opening Ceremonies of the 2016 Search for Miss Teenage Canada. I was feeling super excited!
The party was very enjoyable I got very excited when I looked around and saw all these tables with amazing items on them .
There is an excellent selection of high quality oral toothbrushes which are uniquely designed to do a great job by Archer Dental, I find that Archer dental is very helpful because when I come to compete in my pageants they always make my teeth 100% pageant ready!
Nuvango brought in some amazing samples for us at the party, I love Nuvango clothing because they are so easy and comfortable for all types of activities, they have some amazing pieces from different artist around the world, I am going to have so much fun going to the head quarters on Tuesday with all the other pageant girls!

It feels so great to have received a pair of free sunglasses from V.I.P. Canada!
There were so many cool sections if you’re looking for a rad pair of shades I recommend to go to V.I.P. Canada.
Thank you V.I.P. for letting me have these awesome animal printed shades that suit my face shape perfectly !
remember to tweet @VPICanada with a picture of you wearing your shades!
Heres a pic of me wearing my shades
Rimmel London provided a lot of products for the girls’ welcome bags. They set up a make-up station with lots of extras. Their makeup always makes me look super flawless and natural.
This is a really fun Marketing Platform this showed all the pictures we were taking that night and hash tagging on social media, They displayed them live on this large screen where every one from the party could view them. This is a great way for your friends and family to see what you’re doing.
Sam Dhutia from Sweets Canada attended our party and was kind enough to share his tasty chocolates with us! He gave out some of his gourmet chocolate bars depending on our choice and personal pick of what we liked and even flower edible chocolate bars which I loved, Thank you sweets Canada!
Sweets Canada is on Twitter @SweetsCanadaCA and so is their parent company Q Foods Canada which tweets from @QFoodsCanada
Sally Hansen provided products for gift bags and dispensed products such as makeup and nail polishes at a make-up station at the welcome party.

I always get super excited when I’m going to Banff National Park it’s an amazing place with beautiful lakes and wildlife! The good thing about Banff is that it looks great all year round and has activities you can do no matter the weather, so you can come and visit whenever!
Banff was founded by 3 Canadian Pacific Railway construction workers they spotted a cave that contained the hot springs which was located on the eastern eastern slopes of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains which they called Banff national park. This is Canada’s #1 national park and the 3rd out of the world
There are lots of actives to do around Banff such as visit lake Louise which was discovered in 1882 by railroad workers, come and adore nature and the natural beauty of it. You can
also ride the gondolas where you can get a breathe taking view of Banff. Another option is go hiking on Johnston canyon and check out the beautiful waterfalls, and if you’re like me and like to shop, Banff has some pretty cool souvenir shops and even some clothing shops! Personally my Favourite thing to do is visit the fairmont hotel because of its haunted history, the hotel was built in the 19th century and was open to the public on June 1, 1888. These are just some options I enjoy but if you look into it there’s many more fun filled things to do!
There you have it, sounds pretty amazing right?! If you ever decide to visit Alberta I definitely recommend taking a stop at Banff National Park and have yourself an enjoyable time.
It feels so crazy to have made it this far, I remember sitting on my bed and looking online on the MTC website, I would always stare at the signup page and never have the courage to do it, it took me a while but I decided to step out of my comfort zone and I’m so happy that I gained confidence in myself to make this decision. I would have regretted not doing this pageant this is something I’ve always been interested in. My whole experience so far inspired me to have a platform about self esteem and confidence.
I believe that it is very important to have high self esteem and confidence , especially in today’s society where girls get judged on the smallest things such as appearances. I choose this topic because I feel having low self esteem and confidence not only affects you but affects others around you it stops you from doing the things you love it also has many other side effects such as: bullying, depression, mental health issues and anxiety. I feel not a lot of people look at this as a big issue, that is because yourself is the only person that can do something about it. Start believing, do what you love, think of new ways to achieve your goals, step out of your comfort zone, start looking at yourself in a positive way, because just remember you are doing this for yourself and as you do it, we are one by one making the world a happier place to live in.
I’ve recently just attended an event that really interested me so I thought I would share it with you guys!
It was pleasure attending the children’s festival this year, I had an awesome time it was so enjoyable for me since this event was hosted downtown and I got to do it with one of my best friends Rachel (Miss Teenage North Calgary) . I love downtown, I love all the different people I get to meet there and new things I get to see. My favourite part was working at the bubble land station it was a lot of fun watching all the little kids have a great time blowing bubbles. I would be super interested in doing something like this again!
I have really been enjoying my new title it is such an honour to help out , I love trying to find new community events and meeting new people, a couple weeks ago I attended the opening day for Iron Horse Park. I had a great time volunteering there and meeting new people around Airdrie. Although the weather wasn’t too great and a lot of people couldn’t make it I loved everyones positive attitudes. I think it is a fun family orientated place to go and teach everyone about train safety. The ticket sales and donations all went to Fort McMurray which was a bonus!
Stay tuned for my net blog about The Children’s Festival!
Hey Everyone! I’m Mannat, Miss Teenage Airdrie 2016. I am so proud of myself for making it this far and working so hard for what I wanted. I’ve always been interested in doing this pageant but never had the bravery to do it until I took a chance and tried it out. This was an amazing experience for me I learned so much and made lots of new friends!
The night of the pageant was one of the best nights of my life. Just the feeling of being on stage and knowing everyone’s watching me gave me butterflies, I was super nervous but super happy because I was doing this and couldn’t believe it, imagine that feeling!
Now time to tell you guys some fun facts about me! I am 15 years old, I love doing activities that calm me such as dance and yoga. I am a huge animal lover and love being around all animals especially cats! I love spending time outdoors and being out with my friends, I am a city girl and enjoy spending time downtown. I just love the feeling of waking up and doing or trying something new with my friends everyday we always make sure we are enjoying ourselves and not just being lazy and wasting time, but just like everyone else I like to have alone time to think and plan by myself.
Now a little bit about my platform, my platform is about self esteem and confidence I think these are two very important things that affect the decisions you make in your everyday life. Just having enough confidence in yourself will make you know that you can do anything and achieve your goals if you work hard and believe in yourself, just like I did !
More blogs are soon to come make sure to check them out!
The end is here, and as emotional as this farewell is for me, I can’t help but look back and smile, knowing that I got this incredible opportunity to represent a city that has done so much for me. From supporting all my anti-bullying initiatives to giving me the great pleasure of inviting me to some incredible local events, this year has been jam packed and full of surprises. Nonetheless, I am so grateful for the out pour of support and love I received from those all over Canada and pushed me to become better, stronger and more confident everyday. If you were to have told me a year ago that I’d be looking back on my year as Miss Teenage Airdrie, I would laugh knowing that little dark thought of self-doubt would hold me back from believing that this dream was just that, a dream, not something reality would ever stow upon me. But yet here I am, doing just that. Everyday, I wake up and see this crown on my wall. This crown is a symbol of not only success, but also overcoming adversity. When I began this journey, I was a 15 year old girl who was scared out of her mind and had little to no self confidence, I now look in the mirror and see an intelligent, poised and determined girl who can accomplish anything she sets her mind to. I have acquired so many skills from this experience that I will carry with me throughout all my endeavors. Being selected as a delegate for Miss Teenage Canada has opened so many doors for me and will continue to do so for the girls to come in the future years.
There are so many to thank and I know I am bound to forget some, but please know you are all in my heart and I cherish all of you for believing in me. I’d like to first thank my number one fan and the women who has been there for literally all of it, my mommy. You gave me the courage to put myself out there, despite the fears of judgment, failure and disappointment I had. You have been the biggest trooper through all of this, from looking at thousands of gowns with me to making sure my crown was always straight before walking out the door, you’ve always been there to help me and I cannot begin to describe how much I love you and thank you for allowing me to have this opportunity. To my best friend Danielle, I love you to the moon and back and then some. Thank you for always being there with that big, bright smile and the best hugs to get me through. I am so blessed to have you in my life, and cannot wait for future adventures with you! Thank you to Michelle W and the entire Miss Teenage Canada team for your strength and faithfulness to this pageant and to us girls. We got to be quite the handful, and I’m sure we made you want to pull your hair out at times, but please remember that it’s in the crazy moments like that when we love you the most! To my sister queens, we’ve been through so much together and I want to thank all of you for the fun times and memories. I have a special place in my heart for all of you and cannot wait to see all that you accomplish throughout your life’s. Thank you to not only my mentor, but my good friend Mattea for always knowing just what to say. I look up to not only as an extremely successful pageant queen, but also as a strong and independent women that has the confidence and courage to be who she is. A big thank you to Miss Teenage Alberta 2015, Ilinca for representing our province so beautifully. You graced both the provincial and national stage with such elegance. It has been an honor to compete next to you. Thank you for not only being a role model but also a friend to me. To Miss Teenage Airdrie 2013, Mercy, thank you for supporting me and helping me become comfortable in my crown. I had such an incredible time doing events with you and I wish you the best of luck in your future pageants. And lastly, thank you to all my sponsors, there are so many to name but know that without all of you and your services, I would have never been able to be as successful as I am. I hope to continue to support local businesses in Airdrie as they are a vital part of our community.
To the future Miss’s, girls get ready, you are in for quite the adventure! You have such an extraordinary team at your disposal for advice and support, trust them! Never doubt yourself and what you are capable of. You have been selected because these judges believe in you, so don’t ever question it or yourself. I am so incredibly excited to follow you on a journey that has changed my life forever.
I don’t know what exactly the future holds for me yet, and as sad as I am to end this chapter of my life, I am excited to pass on my crown, my title and this un-explainable feeling of happiness to the next lucky girl.
It has been a pleasure Airdrie, thank you.
Miss Teenage Airdrie 2015, Mackenzie.
